I love this man!

I just have to do a little bragging about this Mr. MOM. (By the way, that is a fake "pulling out his hair" picture). Brett is such an amazing guy... check this out. He (usually) takes over the Sunday dinner thing to give me a brake. And I'm not talking grilled cheese. Brett must have been a professional chef in his last life because when he takes charge of the kitchen we are all in HEAVEN! Today he made a very nice dinner that the kids loved and even a dessert that looked too good to eat. Now how many of you can say that your man looks hot in an apron? By the way he does not approve of this pink and purple blog, but hey it is Easter.

Crayon on the wall

So being a mom is the all time best job in the world... but we who have entered into this strange and uncertain realm of joy, chaos, and dirty diapers, know that it can be a "bit" taxing at times. Alright, I go absolutely nuts some times. And that is what this story is all about.

I was having one of those really really really really (emphasis on the really) rough mommy days. Kids were whining, potty training was not going"down the toilet," the house was a disaster and only getting worse, I was still in my pj's and well just AAAaaaaahhhhhh! Get the picture?

They say that when people start having suicidal thoughts they need professional help... well I saw a nice, new black crayon on the floor and glanced up at the only clean thing in my house... a wall... and had the overwhelming urge to crayon ALL over that wall. (Does that fall in the same category?) Or does that mean I've just melted down to a child's level? Well, you'll be glad to know that my self control wasn't overcome and the wall remained unharmed. And I really do love being a mom... sometimes I just have to remind myself that on the crazy days. And I thought some of you might get a laugh on a day you might need it.

Boys in Blue

My little boys are such a delight! Ben is loving being a big brother and takes very good care of his "babeee tonnor."

Its A Party!

Life has been so crazy at our house! The daddy has been so busy and we all have missed him... so we scheduled a party. This is our Friday night family party and it was great. We had popcorn and candy and played a game until bedtime. It was fun to be together and just be silly. Hooray for family time!

Here's an update for March

The first of this month was Connor's blessing day. It was wonderful... we had so much family support. (You know you have great family when they are willing to drive five hours, to the middle of nowhere, to celebrate with you). Our home was full to the brim and it was so much fun! And as any gathering that includes my side of the family... it ended with a good old fashioned wresting match. Thanks everyone for coming.

Visiting Family

We went to visit family last weekend. It is always fun to hang out and the kids have a ball with their cousins. This is Ben and cousin Spencer chillin' after church.
This is not a flattering picture, but it proves a point... My in-laws have a pantry that they keep fully stocked with treats (and CHOCOLATE). Our family joke is that if you ever lose one of use, we are hiding in the pantry. Brett, Josh (brother-in-law) and I always willingly help Mom to "rotate" her pantry.

Grandma Bingham is so awesome! She is our stylist... at least when we visit. Ben and Dad both got stylin' hair cuts... and Ben LOVES haircuts!

Potty Training

I am going to get so busted as soon as Brett sees that I put this picture on here... But Ben is so dang cute. I couldn't help it. We are tackling the potty training thing this week and wow, I forgot what a full time job THAT is. (I usually bribe my kids with "potty mallows." That just means they get a mini marshmallow every time they go potty). And so far Ben is such a good sport about it. He is totally pumped about his big boy pants as you can tell by his muscle man pose.
