The Joy of Falling

We really don't have any trees in our yard, but our neighbor's tree has enough leaves to share. The kids were eyeing his yard the other day and they invited us over to play. Madi, Brooke and Ben had a BLAST jumping in the HUGE heaps and tossing leaves at each other. After playing we helped them fill nine bags and by the next day, the yard was ready for another round.

Aaargh Matey!!

Yes, I did wear this to work, the store and Trick or Treating with the kids!

I have to jump in here and say that Brett was the sexiest pirate I've ever seen... and there were enough to have a whole ships crew tonight! Granted, most of them were under the age of ten... but still.

Careful kids, this is what happens if you don't brush you teeth!! Aaargh!

Happy Halloween!!!

Madi the CowGirl / Rodeo Queen, Brooke the Princess, and Ben the CowBoy. Annie had a blast making their costumes at the last minute! No kidding, the dress was completed only minutes before show time. Trick or Treating was fun, but the kids had the best time handing out the candy. When the bowl was empty they filled it up again with their own stash.

This Halloween has been interesting... with Ben being allergic to peanuts... we've had to be really careful about what candy he gets. (Even the girls had to go without a lot of the goodies because if they touch or kiss him, he will break out in hives). Brooke and Madi are such good sports about this because they know what happens and they LOVE thier little brother. Pretty impressive for a three year old to say no to a piece of candy just because her brother can't eat it.

ATTACK DADDY! This was the night after Brett finished his thesis... and guess what? Daddy didn't have to go do homework! Hooray! It is so nice to have Brett back. The kids love to play with him and not to have to share him with the laptop anymore. That is one of the good things we have to say about being out of school!

This totally fun park is here in town and we love it! It is so fun for every age... even mom and dad! The kids always beg to go here. The climbing structures cover a huge area and have tunnels, swings, music making things, and every other thing a kid could want to play on. (There's really not a ton of things to tempt you to visit our town... but for those of you with kidlets... maybe this would be a small draw?) Hey, I'm grasping at straws here!

Madi, Brooke and Ben have dragged Grandpa Conover with them in this picture.

Woo-hoo! Guess what... I totally chopped all my hair off! I have never had short hair and this was a huge change... My hair was down to the middle of my back and now I have a very short chop. We sent the 11 inch pony tail to Locks of Love. Short Short Short! But it is great and way easy for a mom of almost four. (Ha Ha did you catch that last little hint?)

We have loved living in Redlands California and we are really going to miss all the wonderful friends we made! The last Saturday that we were there, we went to the zoo and the beach. It was a very long and fun day. But sooooooo fun!

We found a house!

We just spent three days house hunting. We looked at more than thirty houses in two days. It was exhausting! (The nice part was that Brett's mom was kind enough to fly down to watch our kids). So although I wouldn't PICK our new little town as a vacation hot spot, it was a nice break for Brett and I.
I know that the Lord has once again led us to the right place at the right time. We almost stumbled upon this house. And things are falling into place. We are planning on moving at the end of June and if all goes well, we will close on July 1st. It is truly amazing how the hand of the Lord can be seen in our everyday lives!

"Master" Bingham

Have you ever wondered why the person who gets the PHD gets to be a doctor but the kid who gets the Masters doesn't get to be "Master" so-and-so? I think that would be pretty cool! I'd like to be called Master Bingham! Sweet!

So Anyway, Brett just "walked" for the University of Redlands commencement last Saturday. It was so amazing to see him recieve his hood! The kids were shouting "Yah Daddy!" And pretty much it was a totally awsome day!
